Wesley L Keeton

The Defendant has at least three prior convictions for Aggravated Burglary or Burglary, including Montgomery County (1996), Butler County (2002), and Warren County (2002). He has numerous other convictions including Theft, Vandalism, and Receiving Stolen Property. In 2002, he was sentenced by Warren County to three years in prison, but released on PRC in 2005. After several more criminal offenses and parole violations, his parole was formerly revoked in June 2006. He was placed at the Turtlecreek center as a sanction for the parole violation, but in September 2-3, 2006 he escaped from the Turtlecreek Center. Thereafter, his parole officer made numerous unsuccessful attempts to get Keeton to turn himself in. Finally, he was arrested on April 5, 2007. The defendant was indicted for Escape (F2) and plead guilty. He was sentenced to four years in prison, and as a part of the plea agreement, the state asked the Court not to impose any additional penalty for violation of his PRC. Wesley Keeton is a career criminal. He has violated parole on numerous occasions and ultimately escaped. He has demonstrated that he is not a good candidate for release on parole or PRC.
